How Close is
Close Enough?
Master of Fine Arts in Art Thesis Exhibition
2021

Presented in partial fulfillment for the Master of Fine Arts in Art degree at the University of Dallas, 2021. Installed at the Irving Art Association.

This exhibition focuses on identity and navigates the boundary between painting and sculpture. I explore gender bending, power, and what it means to be a woman and an image through
explorations with materials.

What's a
landscape?
Master of Arts in Art
Thesis Exhibition
2020

Each of the Possum Kings stood across from a corresponding psychological landscape. This made her active even in the absence of a viewer because she was now gazing into her own mind. On either end of the space stood grim and the king of kings, facing each other down, again active even without a viewer.

A blue line originating from gashes in grim's arm forms a loop throughout the show.
